I am Emily, a senior who likes to read in her free time. Growing up as a child curious about everything, I was attuned to minute particulars with the surroundings to internalize and absorb each insight the world may make known concerning the human experience. It is thus this curiosity and observance that have impacted and shaped my aspirations to bridge the inequality gap in education and spurred my strong belief that knowledge empowers people and opens up avenues for the same. Knowledge should be made available to every human being, irrespective of experiences or the state of affairs that surrounds them. This perception drove me to volunteer at Teach for India this summer when Taiwan went into lockdown in 2021.

This initial experience gradually transformed into a strong drive to assist others in developing and creating a more equal society.

Aligned with my passion, I founded Teach First Taiwan. With our passionate commitment to fostering opportunity in every classroom, at Teach First Taiwan, we work tirelessly to build a more hopeful tomorrow for all those we teach.

這個初次的經歷逐漸轉化為我幫助他人和創建更加公平的社會的強烈動力。受到自己的熱情的啟發，我創立了“Teach First Taiwan”。在“Teach First Taiwan”，我們充滿激情地致力於在每個教室中培育機會，為我們所教的每一個人打造一個更加充滿希望的明天。

Hello everyone, I'm Joyce! In addition to teaching students, I will also be managing our Instagram account along with our founder to provide more information to all of you.

Addressing disparities in access to educational resources between urban and rural communities is our ambition. Despite the inherent challenges, I feel strongly that providing all children with equivalent opportunities to pursue knowledge and develop skills is crucial so that our collective endeavors might guide them toward a more promising future.

While my central role for this organization involves primarily teaching math to students, I am no less fervent about conveying understanding in other fields as far as my own grasp of those subjects will permit.

In addition to my professional pursuits, my musical interests occupy a position of considerable significance. I enjoy listening to various genres of music and singing. The melodic rhythms and harmonies of music provide an artistic outlet in which I can find solace. It brings me endless joy and happiness.

I look forward to sharing more valuable information with all of you through Teach First Taiwan and our Instagram account.

I’m Steven, currently a senior in high school. The joy of helping others is in what we want to do. I believe that lending a helping hand is not only a compassionate act but also a way to foster positive change in the world. Throughout my life, I have strived to be a source of support and assistance to those in need. I find fulfillment in connecting with people, listening to their concerns, and understanding their challenges. Hello everyone, My name is Janice, currently a junior. In addition to teaching students, I am also the fundraising manager. As a fundraising manager, my responsibilities include designing and implementing strategic fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with donors, and identifying potential funding opportunities. I leverage various channels and techniques to raise funds, such as organizing events, launching online crowdfunding campaigns, and seeking corporate sponsorships. Additionally, I ensure transparency and accountability in all fundraising activities, providing regular reports on the allocation and impact of funds. Through effective fundraising management, charities can sustain their operations, expand their reach, and make a significant difference in the lives of those they serve. I believe that while teaching students in remote areas is important, providing tangible assistance can be more efficient in improving their environment and resources.

Hello everyone, I'm Vicky, currently a high school junior. With a passion for education, I have observed that there is still an issue of educational inequality in our society today. However, I believe that education has the power to transform individuals for the better. Therefore, I use my free time outside of academics to actively promote educational equality, ensuring that no one's talents and passion are suppressed due to resource disparities.

Even though I may encounter numerous difficulties and obstacles along the way, I believe that making a difference in the world through something I love is definitely worth it!
